Ask for a landing page quote and the answers range from a $29 monthly subscription to £15,000. Both can be right. The price depends on who writes the copy, how the page is built, whether it reports sales back to your ad account, and how many versions your ads need. Here's what each route costs in 2026, in dollars and pounds, and what a page for paid ads has to include whatever you pay.
- Building it yourself costs a builder subscription plus your time. One dedicated landing page builder lists plans from $29 to $249 a month.
- A freelancer typically charges $300-$1,500 a page in the US. In the UK, expect £150-£400 for template work and £500-£1,500 from an experienced designer.
- Agencies run about $800-$3,000 a page in one US guide, and £2,500-£6,000 at a mid-sized UK agency.
- Custom video, CRM integration or testing infrastructure can take a UK build to £8,000-£15,000.
- Copy, tracking, testing and monthly platform fees explain most of the gap between quotes.
- For comparison, our pages start from $1,200, and most run $1,200-$2,500 with copy, build and tracking included.
What a landing page costs in 2026
We reviewed published pricing guides for US and UK buyers in October 2026. The ranges overlap more than the labels suggest:
| Route | US | UK | What you usually get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Build it yourself on a builder | $50-$200 a month, plus up to $300 for a template | £20-£300 a month in platform fees | A template you fill in. Quick to launch, and you write the copy |
| Freelancer | $300-$1,500 a page (median about $900) | £150-£400 for template work, £500-£1,500 experienced | One person on design and build. Copy and tracking vary, so ask |
| Agency | $800-$3,000 a page (median about $1,900) | £2,500-£6,000 at a mid-sized agency | Copy, design and build from a team. Check whether tracking and revisions are in the quote |
| Custom build with extras | $1,500-$3,000 for custom design with conversion work | £8,000-£15,000 with custom video, CRM integration or multivariate testing | A page designed or coded around your offer and your systems |
US: a 2026 US landing page pricing guide (updated July 2026). UK: a UK marketing consultant's pricing guide. The columns come from different guides, so they aren't currency conversions of each other.
Hourly rates explain much of the spread. Clutch's October 2026 pricing guide puts web design agencies at $100-$149 an hour in the US and $50-$99 in the UK, and agencies that build on site builders at $25-$49. Who does the work matters as much as the route: a template filled in by a junior and a page written and built by senior people are different products. What drives the price
Five things decide most quotes. Ask which of them are included before you compare two numbers.
- Copy. Writing that repeats the ad's promise and answers objections is skilled work. The US guide prices conversion copywriting and headline testing at an extra $500-$1,500, and the UK guide says a specialist copywriter takes a freelance build to £2,000-£3,000 in total.
- Design. A template adjusted to your brand is quick. A layout designed around your offer, your proof and a phone screen takes longer, and costs more.
- Build. A builder page is fast to make and easy for you to edit. A coded page needs a developer to change, and gives full control over speed and tracking.
- Tracking. The Pixel, the Conversions API, events for each action, and the ad's click ID carried into your booking system or checkout. The UK guide's advice is to budget for tracking and testing separately.
- Testing and versions. Setting up an A/B test with two variants adds $200-$600 in the US guide. If different ads make different promises, each may need its own version of the page.
The costs that arrive later
The build is rarely the whole bill. These turn up after launch:
- Builder subscriptions. They're monthly for as long as the page is live. One builder's entry plan covers up to 500 visitors a month, and A/B testing starts on its $149 plan.
- Hosting and tools. The UK guide puts hosting, A/B testing software and analytics at £70-£500 a month on top of the build.
- Revisions. The same guide says a new page often needs three or four small copy edits once real visitors arrive. Ask how many rounds are included, and what extra ones cost.
- Tracking setup. If a quote only says "design and build", the Pixel, the Conversions API and the hand-off to your booking system are probably extra.
- Ownership. On a builder you rent the page. Ask who owns the code, the copy and the domain if you stop paying or switch providers.
What a page for paid ads needs
A page for ad traffic has a narrower job than a page on your website. One audience arrives from one ad, with one thing to do. Whatever you pay, check it has these:
- A headline that repeats what the ad promised, in the same words where it matters.
- One action, repeated where people make up their minds, with no menu competing for the click.
- The answers people need before acting: price, times, location, what happens next.
- Speed on a phone. Google's guidance is a Largest Contentful Paint of 2.5 seconds or less, measured at the 75th percentile of page loads.
- The Pixel and the Conversions API, events for every action that matters, and the ad's click ID passed through to your booking system or checkout.
- A consent bar, with the Pixel and analytics loading only after the visitor accepts.
Google rates part of this for search ads. Its Quality Score diagnostic includes landing page experience, which it defines as how relevant and useful your landing page is to people who click your ad. To see a page built to this checklist, open the page we built for a climbing gym's Facebook ads.
When a builder template is enough
Often. A template on a builder is the right call when you're testing whether an offer sells at all, running a short promotion, or sending modest traffic that fits inside the plan's visitor cap, and you can write the copy yourself. Spend the difference on ads, and learn what a lead costs first.
It stops being enough when the page carries serious ad spend every month, when bookings or payments happen on another system that needs the ad's click details, or when the builder's scripts slow the page down on a phone. And sometimes you don't need a page at all. For a simple offer, a Facebook lead ad form may do the job, and it's worth testing against a page on cost per customer.
What we charge
Our landing pages start from $1,200, and most run $1,200-$2,500, with copy, build and tracking included. It's a fixed price, agreed in writing before we start, with 50% to begin and the balance on delivery. Extra versions for different ads are quoted up front. You own the page, the code and the content outright, and there's no monthly platform fee.
The page is built by the people who run the ads, starting from the ads that will point at it. Prices are in US dollars, and ad spend and ads management are separate. The full scope is on our landing page design page.
Questions people ask
How much does a landing page cost?
In 2026, building one yourself costs a builder subscription plus your time. A freelancer typically charges $300-$1,500 a page in the US, and agencies about $800-$3,000 in one US guide. Custom builds with extras cost more. Copy, tracking and testing explain most of the gap between quotes.
How much does a landing page cost in the UK?
One UK guide puts template work from a junior freelancer at £150-£400, an experienced freelancer at £500-£1,500, and a mid-sized agency at £2,500-£6,000. Custom video, CRM integration or multivariate testing can take it to £8,000-£15,000.
How much does a simple landing page cost?
Built yourself on a builder, the cost is the subscription, often $50-$200 a month, plus your time. A freelancer filling in a template with your copy sits at the low end of their range: £150-£400 in the UK guide we reviewed.
Is copywriting included in landing page design cost?
Not always. One US guide prices conversion copywriting as an extra $500-$1,500, and a UK guide says adding a specialist copywriter takes a freelance build to £2,000-£3,000. Ask whether the quote includes copy or expects you to supply it.
Are landing page builders cheaper than hiring someone?
Up front, yes. But the subscription runs for as long as the page is live, entry plans can cap visitors, and A/B testing often sits on a higher tier. Add up a year of fees before you compare.
What should a landing page for ads include?
A headline that matches the ad, one action, the answers people need before acting, fast loading on a phone, and tracking that reports bookings or sales back to the ad account, with the ad's click ID passed to your booking system or checkout.
When is a custom landing page not worth it?
When you're still testing whether the offer sells at all: a builder template is the better spend. We're not the right fit if you're shopping for the lowest price, or if there's no ad budget to send traffic to the page once it's built.
