A coaching website can cost the price of a monthly subscription or several thousand dollars, and both can be the right answer. The difference is what the site has to do. A page that introduces you and links to your calendar is a weekend on a builder. A site that turns paid traffic into qualified discovery calls, takes payment plans and reports every booking back to your ads is a build.

The short answer
  • DIY on a builder: $17-$65 a month, plus your time.
  • Freelancer build: usually $1,000-$4,000. Agency build: usually $4,000-$10,000 or more.
  • Running costs: typically $30-$200 a month for the platform, scheduling, email and domain.
  • Pay for a build when the site has to convert paid traffic, take payments or track bookings to your ads.
  • Prove the offer first. A simple page and a booking link beat a custom site nobody visits.

What drives the price

The biggest cost drivers
  • Copy. Writing pages that sound like you and sell the program is usually the slowest part. Templates leave it to you.
  • Number of offers. One program with one booking page is simple. Three programs, a course and a membership is several sites' worth of decisions.
  • Payments. Payment plans, deposits, order bumps and taxes in more than one country take real build time.
  • Booking and qualification. A calendar link is minutes. A questionnaire that routes people before the calendar is a proper piece of work, and it's what protects your time.
  • Tracking. Reporting bookings and sales back to Meta and Google is what lets ads learn who buys. It's often left out of cheap quotes.

What a coaching site must do

Whatever you spend, the site has one job: turn the right visitors into discovery calls, and keep the wrong ones off your calendar. That needs a page per program, written for the person you help, with proof and a clear next step. It needs a booking step with a few qualifying questions in front of the calendar. And if you run ads, it needs to report each booking back to the ad platforms, or the ads learn from clicks instead of clients. What a coaching funnel needs besides ads covers the parts around the site.

For a single offer, a landing page may be all you need at first. How much a landing page costs prices that route, and what a sales funnel costs for coaches covers checkout, follow-up and the tools behind them.

DIY or hire?

Build it yourself if
  • You're still testing who the offer is for.
  • Most clients come from referrals, and the site mostly confirms you're real.
  • You don't run ads yet, or not at a budget where tracking matters.
Hire help when
  • You're about to spend real money sending ads to it.
  • You need payment plans, deposits or checkout in more than one currency.
  • Discovery calls are full of people who aren't a fit.
  • The site is costing you hours you'd rather spend coaching.

We build coaching websites at a fixed price, in your own accounts, with the copy, booking, qualification and tracking included. See websites for coaches, or the custom funnel case study for a coach selling books and coaching. The marketing for coaches guide shows where the site fits.

Questions people ask

How much does a coaching website cost?

A DIY site on a website builder costs $17-$65 a month plus your time. A freelancer build usually runs $1,000-$4,000, and an agency build $4,000-$10,000 or more, plus the running costs of hosting, scheduling and email. Our coaching websites start at $1,200, and most run $1,200-$15,000.

Should a coach use Kajabi or a regular website?

Kajabi suits coaches who sell courses, memberships or digital products and want the site, email and checkout in one place. A regular website suits coaches who mainly sell one-to-one or group programs through discovery calls, and want more control over pages and speed.

What are the running costs of a coaching website?

Plan for the platform or hosting, a domain, a scheduling tool, an email platform and payment fees. For a coach with a small list that's typically $30-$200 a month, before any ads.

What pages does a coaching website need?

A homepage that says who you help and how, a page for each program, an about page, proof from real clients, and a booking page with a few qualifying questions. A blog or podcast helps later; it doesn't need to exist on day one.

Can I build my own coaching website?

Yes, and on a builder it's often the right start. Hire help when the site needs to convert paid traffic, take payments or payment plans, or report bookings back to your ads, or when you're losing hours you'd rather coach in.

When is a custom build not worth it?

When you haven't sold the offer yet. Prove it with a simple page and a booking link first. We're not the right fit if you want a site before you know who it's for, or if you need it live this week.
