Bigcommerce website design & development
Big catalog, complex pricing?
Build it on BigCommerce.
BigCommerce suits stores with large catalogs, wholesale customers and teams that want a headless option without starting from nothing. Its plans and fees reward getting a few decisions right early: which plan your sales put you on, and which payment provider you pick. We build BigCommerce stores and make those calls with you.
What does your catalog
need to do?
A store with forty products and a store with forty thousand, some sold to trade customers at their own prices, are different builds. Start with the catalog and how you sell it, and the platform decisions follow.
Theme or headless
A store built on a BigCommerce theme, or on Catalyst, BigCommerce's headless storefront framework built with Next.js, when you need full control of the front end.
Products, variants and price lists
Categories, options and customer-specific pricing set up so the catalog stays manageable as it grows, and trade buyers see their own prices.
Costs you can predict
BigCommerce moves stores up a plan as sales grow, and charges an extra fee for some payment providers. We cost both before you launch.
Onto or off BigCommerce
Products, customers and orders moved with the old URLs mapped first, so the rankings you have come with you.
BigCommerce can do it.
The setup usually doesn't.
Most BigCommerce problems we see aren't platform limits. They're early decisions nobody revisited: a plan outgrown without anyone noticing, a payment provider adding a fee to every order, a catalog structure that made sense at 200 products. Here's what we usually find.
What we usually find
- A payment provider that adds BigCommerce's fee to every eligible order
- A plan auto-upgraded after a good year, with nobody reviewing what changed
- Categories and options built for a small catalog, now unmanageable
- Trade customers handled by email and spreadsheets instead of price lists
- A heavily edited theme that nobody wants to update
- A headless rebuild started without a reason the theme couldn't meet
- Old URLs dropped in a migration, and rankings with them
What we do instead
- Payment providers compared, including BigCommerce's Open Payment Provider fee
- A plan review against your trailing 12 months of sales
- A catalog structure designed for the size you're heading to
- Customer groups and price lists for trade buyers
- A clean theme your team can update without breaking it
- Catalyst only where the theme genuinely can't do the job
- Every old URL mapped and redirected before launch
The founders we work with.
Here's what founders say after working with us - unfiltered.
Our old site was clunky and our ads were bleeding cash. Their team stepped in, rebuilt everything, and suddenly shoppers could buy without any fuss. They explain the numbers in plain language and always lay out the next move. First agency that's truly felt like part of our crew.
NCMborz rebuilt our site, then unleashed focused Meta and Google ads that filled coaching calendars fast. Branding, traffic, engagement, revenue - every dot now connects and we speak to ideal students. They made bold decisions feel easy with calm, data-backed reasoning.
They built our Shopify store from sketch to polish, and the ads keep bringing in people who actually appreciate the product. Fast, thoughtful, no guessing games. For a brand that sweats the small stuff, having a partner who gets that is a big deal.
Six systems.
One store that scales cleanly.
This is the order we build every BigCommerce store in. The catalog and the costs come first, because they're the hardest things to change later.
Pricing, scoped to you.
Priced on the store. A theme build for a modest catalog and a Catalyst storefront with B2B price lists are very different projects, so the fixed quote follows the call.
- Fixed project price, agreed in writing before we start
- 50% to begin, balance on delivery
- Scoped to your catalog, storefront and integrations
- You own the store, the theme and the code

What we have written on what a store costs.
We get asked these every week.
How much does BigCommerce cost?
BigCommerce lists Core at $39 a month ($29 billed annually), Growth at $105 ($79), Scale at $399 ($299), and Performance from $1,499 a month billed annually. Check its pricing page before you commit, as plans change.
Does BigCommerce charge transaction fees?
It now charges an Open Payment Provider fee on orders processed through open payment providers: 2.0% of eligible order value on Core, 1.0% on Growth and 0.6% on Scale. Embedded providers show no fee, so the payment provider you choose matters.
What happens when our sales grow?
BigCommerce sets sales limits per plan. Core covers up to $30,000 in trailing 12-month sales and Growth up to $100,000, after which the store moves up a plan automatically. We review that with you before it happens.
What is Catalyst?
Catalyst is BigCommerce's headless storefront framework, built with Next.js and its GraphQL Storefront API and released under the MIT licence. It gives full control of the front end while BigCommerce runs the catalog, cart and checkout.
BigCommerce or Shopify?
It depends on the catalog and how you sell. BigCommerce suits large catalogs, complex options and B2B price lists. Shopify suits brands that want to launch quickly on a simpler setup. We build on both and will tell you which fits.
Can you migrate us onto or off BigCommerce?
Yes. Products, customers and orders move with the right tools, and every old URL is mapped to its new page first. Shopify's own migration app doesn't cover BigCommerce, so moves to Shopify use other tooling.
Have you built BigCommerce stores before?
None of our published case studies is a BigCommerce store, and we won't imply one. The plan on this page is how we'd build yours, and the call is where you can test it.
What does a BigCommerce build cost with you?
From $1,200, and most of our ecommerce projects run $1,200-$15,000, fixed. The catalog, the storefront approach and the integrations decide where yours sits.
What happens on the strategy call?
Thirty minutes. We look at your catalog and sales, cost the right plan and payment setup, and tell you what we'd build.
BigCommerce, built to sell.
30 minutes. We'll look at your catalog, your sales volume and how you take payments, and tell you whether BigCommerce fits and what we'd build. Pick a time.
