Why Most Fail What We Do Pricing FAQ Book Free Call
GOOGLE ADS FOR LOCAL BUSINESS SEARCH · LOCAL SERVICES ADS · CALLS

The phone rings.
The right people call.

Local search is the highest-intent traffic you will ever buy - someone is looking for what you do, near where you do it, right now. The waste is never in the intent. It is in paying for the wrong postcodes, the wrong services and the calls that were never going to become jobs. We fix that, then count booked work rather than clicks.

What does a good week
look like?

A plumber wanting emergency call-outs, a dental practice filling implant consultations, and a law firm chasing three high-value cases a month are buying completely different things from the same platform. Find the work you're actually paid for - that's the playbook we build.

Local Services Ads

Google Guaranteed, above everything

Where your trade qualifies, LSA sits above the paid results and charges per lead rather than per click. We handle verification, budget and the dispute process for leads that were never real - and we tell you honestly whether it should carry the account or just support it.

Search Campaigns

The searches that mean money

Service-by-service campaigns rather than one bucket, so an emergency call-out and a routine quote aren't bidding as if they're worth the same. Negative lists that strip out job-seekers, students, DIY researchers and the neighbouring town you don't serve.

Call Tracking

Calls counted, and judged

Dynamic number insertion, call recording where it's legal, and a minimum call length before it counts as a conversion. Then we listen to a sample - because "we got 40 calls" and "we got 40 jobs" are very different months, and only one of them pays wages.

Service Area Control

Your patch, not the whole county

Location targeting set to where people physically are, not where they're merely interested, with exclusions for the areas you don't serve or won't drive to. This single setting is the most common cause of budget leaking out of a local account.

Your ads aren't broken.
Your targeting is.

Every local owner we talk to says a version of the same thing: "the phone rings, but it's never the right job." That is rarely a keyword problem. Here's what's usually happening underneath - and what a properly built local account does instead.

What's draining your budget

  • Location targeting left on "presence or interest", so you pay for people who merely searched your city
  • One campaign covering every service, bidding the same for a $200 job and a $12,000 one
  • No negative keywords, so you fund job-seekers, students, DIY guides and free-quote hunters
  • Calls counted as conversions the moment they connect, however fast the caller hangs up
  • Ads running at 2am with nobody to answer, because scheduling was never set
  • Every ad landing on the homepage rather than the service the searcher asked for
  • Local Services Ads either ignored entirely or left unmanaged with unchallenged bad leads
  • Reporting full of clicks and impressions that never ties to a single booked job

What we install instead

  • Location targeting set to physical presence, with exclusions for areas you don't serve
  • Campaigns split by service and by margin, so emergency work isn't priced like a routine quote
  • Negative keyword lists built from your real search terms and reviewed every month
  • Call conversions with a minimum duration, plus recording review so quality is measurable
  • Ad scheduling matched to when someone can actually answer the phone
  • Landing pages per service, matching the ad and loading fast on a phone
  • Local Services Ads managed properly, with bad leads disputed rather than absorbed
  • Reporting that maps spend to calls, booked jobs and revenue by service

They built our Shopify store from sketch to polish, and the ads keep bringing in people who actually appreciate the product. Fast, thoughtful, no guessing games. For a brand that sweats the small stuff, having a partner who gets that is a big deal.

Six systems.
One full diary.

This is the exact build order for every local Google account we take on - whether you sell emergency call-outs, booked consultations or high-value projects. Skip any one of these and the rest stops working.

01 / 06
Service & Job-Value Analysis
We map 90 days of spend against the jobs it actually produced, then work out what each service is worth to you and what you can afford to pay for a call. A practice selling $6,000 treatments and a trade selling $200 call-outs should not be bidding the same, and most accounts do.
Week 1
02 / 06
Service Area & Targeting Build
Location targeting rebuilt around where your paying customers physically are, with radius, postcode and exclusion layers for the places you don't serve or won't travel to. This is usually where the largest single leak in a local account is hiding.
Week 1
03 / 06
Campaign & Keyword Architecture
Campaigns split by service and intent, with match types and negative lists that separate someone ready to book from someone researching how to do it themselves. Emergency and high-value services get their own budgets rather than competing inside a general campaign.
Week 1-2
04 / 06
Local Services Ads Management
Where your category qualifies, we handle Google Guaranteed verification, budget and weekly lead review - including disputing leads that were never genuine. LSA is charged per lead, so unchallenged bad leads are a direct cost rather than an annoyance.
Week 2
05 / 06
Call Tracking & Conversion Quality
Dynamic number insertion, minimum call duration before a conversion counts, and recording review where it's lawful. We feed booked jobs back as conversions where your systems allow, so Google optimises toward work rather than toward ringing.
Week 2
06 / 06
Ongoing Management & Scaling
Weekly search-term mining, negatives added before they cost you, budget moved toward the services and areas that pay best, and seasonal pacing. Regular calls on your calendar - we call you, you don't chase us.
Always-on

Here's exactly what you get.

No mystery, no "we'll get back to you." Every stage below ends with something delivered to your inbox - the same timeline whether you sell call-outs, consultations or projects.

Day 0-1

Strategy call & access

A 30-minute call to map your services, your best-margin work, your service area and what a booked job is actually worth. Access requests go out within 24 hours. You don't lift a finger past the intro.

- You receive: Call recap + onboarding checklist
Day 2-7

Audit & rebuild

Full account audit. Location settings corrected, negatives built from real search-term data, campaigns split by service, call tracking installed with a duration threshold. You see everything before it goes live.

- You receive: Written 90-day growth plan
Day 8-14

Launch & first calls

Campaigns go live. We monitor daily, add negatives as the search terms come in, and start reviewing call recordings so lead quality is measured from the beginning rather than assumed.

- You receive: New account structure + live call dashboard
Day 15-30

Optimize & scale

By week three you'll have real cost-per-booked-job data by service, a negative list earning its keep, and a clear plan to scale the services and areas that pay best.

- You receive: 30-day job report + scaling plan

We get asked these every week.

We get calls but they're the wrong jobs. How do you fix that?

Three levers, in this order. Negative keywords stop you appearing for research and DIY searches. Splitting campaigns by service stops a low-value enquiry being bid at the same price as your best work. And a minimum call duration before a call counts as a conversion stops Google optimising toward whoever rings and hangs up. Where your systems allow it we also feed booked jobs back as the conversion, so the algorithm learns what a good call actually sounds like.

Should we be using Local Services Ads?

If your category qualifies, almost always - it sits above the paid results and you pay per lead rather than per click. But it needs managing. Leads that were never genuine can be disputed, and unchallenged they are a direct cost, not an annoyance. We handle verification and weekly lead review, and we will tell you honestly whether LSA should carry your account or just support the Search campaigns.

Why are we getting calls from outside our area?

Almost always the location setting. Google's default includes people who are merely interested in a location rather than physically in it, which means someone researching your city from three states away can trigger your ad. Switching to presence-only targeting and adding explicit exclusions for the areas you don't serve is usually the single largest saving available in a local account.

Google Ads or Local SEO - which should we do first?

If you need the phone to ring this month, ads. If you want enquiries that don't stop when you pause the budget, SEO. Most local businesses end up running both, because ads buy you immediate visibility while the organic and Business Profile work compounds underneath. We will tell you which order fits your situation rather than sell you both by reflex.

How do you know whether a call became a job?

We track call duration as a first filter, review a sample of recordings where it is lawful in your jurisdiction, and where your CRM or booking system supports it we import booked jobs back into Google as offline conversions. That last step is what changes the account from optimising for calls to optimising for work, and it is the single biggest improvement available to most local advertisers.

Do you build the landing pages?

We build the conversion path the ads need - service-specific pages that match what the searcher asked for, load fast on a phone, and put your number where a thumb can reach it. Sending every ad to the homepage is one of the most expensive habits in local advertising, because the visitor has to re-find what they already told you they wanted.

How much should we spend?

Enough to compete for the searches that matter in your area, which depends on your category and competition more than on your size. A single-service trade in a quiet market needs far less than a multi-location practice in a competitive city. We will give you a realistic floor on the call, and if the budget cannot compete for your keywords we will say so rather than spend it slowly.

We have several locations. How does that work?

Each location gets its own targeting, its own budget line and its own reporting, so you can see which branch generates cheap work and which one is dragging. Budget then moves toward the locations with room to grow instead of being split evenly out of politeness.

Our ads run at night but nobody answers. Is that a problem?

Yes, and it is a common and expensive one. If nobody can take the call, you are paying for a click that had no chance of becoming a job. We set ad scheduling around when you can actually answer, and where after-hours demand is genuinely valuable we route it to a form or a callback request rather than a phone that rings out.

How quickly will we see calls?

Usually within days of launch, because search intent is immediate - someone needs a plumber now. Reliable cost-per-booked-job data takes around 45 days, because you need enough calls to see quality patterns rather than one good week.

Do you work with franchises or multi-location brands?

Yes. The complication is usually governance rather than advertising - which budgets are national, which are local, and who is allowed to change what. We will map that with you before building, because a structure that ignores it tends to be quietly dismantled within a quarter.

What if we're not the right fit?

We will tell you on the call. We turn down work that is not a fit - usually because the search volume in the area is too thin to justify management, or nobody is available to answer the phone the ads generate. Either way you will leave the call knowing exactly what to fix next.

What happens on the strategy call?

30 minutes. We look at your account, your service area and what a booked job is worth, find the biggest leak, and tell you exactly what we would do in your first 90 days. If we are a fit, we talk pricing. If not, no hard feelings - no follow-up sequence, no pressure.

Let's build your playbook.

30 minutes. We'll look at your account, your service area, and what a booked job is actually worth - then tell you exactly what we'd do in the first 90 days. Pick a time.

We'll email within one business day to confirm your call. No spam, no obligation.
