Leads are easy.
Members are the job.

Any account can produce cheap enquiries for a gym. The ones that never turn up, never book an induction and never join are the cheapest of all, which is exactly why an account optimized to form fills gets worse the more it spends. We build to the event that pays you - a booked induction, then a joined member - and let cost per lead go wherever it likes.

Who can actually
get to you?

A gym sells to a drive time, not a country. Most underperforming gym accounts are paying to reach people who were never going to visit - the radius is drawn too wide, the interest targeting is too broad, and the algorithm is being rewarded for finding the cheapest form fill rather than the nearest one. Fix the geography and the conversion event and the same budget behaves differently.

Catchment Targeting

A drive time, not a radius

Most gym accounts run a lazy circle around the postcode. We build around how people actually travel to you - the commute corridors, the university and school catchments, the estates that fill your peak hours - and cut the fringe where the click is cheap and the visit never happens.

Induction Conversions

Optimized to the booking

Your booking system wired as the conversion event, so the algorithm learns from people who picked a slot rather than from people who typed an email address. That single change is what took one climbing gym's cost per booking from GBP 28 to GBP 5.13.

Trial-To-Member

The number that pays rent

A cheap trial that never converts is a cost, not a win. Where your membership system lets us close the loop we feed joined members back as the optimization signal, so the account learns the difference between a curious visitor and someone who signs up.

Real-Gym Creative

Your walls, not stock footage

Climbing and training are visual, and stock gym footage is visibly stock. Filmed sessions on your actual walls and floor, cut for feed and Reels, tested against each other rather than shipped once and left running until it decays.

Your ads aren't broken.
Your conversion event is.

Every gym operator we talk to describes the same thing: the ads bring enquiries, but the place is no busier. In this category that is almost always the conversion event rather than the creative. Here's what's usually happening - and what a properly built gym account does instead.

What's draining your budget

  • Optimized to form fills, so the algorithm finds people who fill in forms and never visit
  • A flat radius around the postcode, paying to reach people who will not drive that far
  • Broad fitness interest targeting that reaches home-workout audiences, not gym joiners
  • Stock footage that could be any gym in any country
  • One campaign running the same daily budget in January and in July
  • Day passes, taster sessions and annual memberships all bid at the same value
  • Ads landing people on a homepage rather than on the booking step
  • Reported on cost per lead, so the account looks better the worse it gets

What we install instead

  • Optimized to a booked induction, then to a joined member where the system allows it
  • Built around drive time and the corridors people genuinely travel to you on
  • Audiences from your own member list, and lookalikes seeded from people who joined
  • Current members excluded, so you stop paying to reach people already paying you
  • Creative filmed at your site, cut for feed and Reels, tested continuously
  • Budget paced against the category's real seasonality rather than spread flat
  • Offer value separated, so a membership is never bid like a day pass
  • Reported on cost per joined member and trial-to-member rate

Our old site was clunky and our ads were bleeding cash. Their team stepped in, rebuilt everything, and suddenly shoppers could buy without any fuss. They explain the numbers in plain language and always lay out the next move. First agency that's truly felt like part of our crew.

They built our Shopify store from sketch to polish, and the ads keep bringing in people who actually appreciate the product. Fast, thoughtful, no guessing games. For a brand that sweats the small stuff, having a partner who gets that is a big deal.

Six systems.
One full timetable.

This is the exact build order for every gym account we take on - a single bouldering wall or a small group of sites. The order matters: the measurement has to be right before the spending is worth optimizing, or you scale something you cannot read.

01 / 06
Catchment & Offer Mapping
We map where your members actually come from and which offer converts them - induction, taster session, day pass or straight membership. Most sites have one that works and three that quietly leak budget, and nobody has looked, because all four produce enquiries.
Week 1
02 / 06
Booking & Conversion Tracking
Your booking system wired as the conversion event, with membership signup tracked separately. Until those two are distinct the account cannot tell an enquiry from a member, and neither can you. This is the stage that moves the numbers most.
Week 1-2
03 / 06
First-Party Audiences
Your member list uploaded and matched, lookalikes seeded from people who actually joined rather than from everyone who ever clicked, and current members excluded so you stop advertising to people who already pay you every month.
Week 1-2
04 / 06
Creative Production
A shoot at your site, cut into feed and Reels variants. Enough of them to test properly rather than one hero video that performs for a fortnight and then decays quietly for six months while the spend carries on regardless.
Week 2-3
05 / 06
Seasonality & Pacing
Budget mapped against the category's real curve - the January surge, the spring plateau, the summer trough - so you are not spending the same amount in the month nobody joins, or underspending in the month everybody does.

06 / 06
Scaling Against Capacity
Induction slots are finite, so raw volume is the wrong goal. We scale to the point your timetable fills and hold there, rather than buying enquiries you cannot physically service and calling the overflow growth.

Here's exactly what you get.

No mystery, no "we'll get back to you." Every stage below ends with something you can see - and the first read on whether the account was ever measuring the right thing lands inside a week.

Day 0-1

Strategy call & access

A 30-minute call on your catchment, your offer mix and what a member is worth over a year. Read-only access to your ad account and your booking system requested within 24 hours.

- You receive: Call recap + onboarding checklist
Day 2-7

Tracking & audience build

Booking and membership events wired and verified, member list uploaded and matched, exclusions applied, and lookalikes seeded from people who joined rather than from everyone who enquired.

- You receive: Tracking audit + written 90-day plan
Day 8-14

Shoot & launch

Creative filmed at your site and cut into feed and Reels variants, campaigns live against the corrected catchment, monitored daily through the learning phase.

- You receive: First creative batch + live dashboard
Day 15-30

Optimize to members

Creative tested against each other, spend moved toward what books inductions, and the first honest read on trial-to-member - which needs your timetable to actually run before it means anything.

- You receive: 30-day report + scaling plan

We get asked these every week.

Do you actually have gym clients, or is this just a page?

Two climbing centres, both written up with the numbers. One account returned 2.95x over ten months, with cost per booking down from GBP 28 to GBP 5.13. The other we took over at 0.82x - it was losing money under the previous agency - and it returned 2.99x eight months later on roughly a third less budget. Both case studies are on this site, including the parts that did not work.

Why do you talk about inductions rather than leads?

Because a lead is not revenue and a gym cannot bank one. If the account is optimized to form fills, Meta will faithfully find you people who fill in forms, and the cheapest of those are reliably people who were never going to drive to you. Optimizing to a booked induction changes who the algorithm goes looking for, and that single change accounts for most of the difference in the numbers above.

Our ads bring enquiries but the gym isn't any busier. Why?

Almost always the conversion event, occasionally the radius. If the account rewards form fills it will optimize toward the cheapest form fill, and cheap enquiries correlate with people outside your realistic catchment. The report improves every month while the timetable stays empty, which is exactly why this one goes unnoticed for so long.

How far around the gym should we advertise?

Further along the roads people commute on, and less across the ones they do not. A flat radius treats a ten-minute drive and a ten-minute crawl as the same distance. We look at where your current members actually live before drawing anything, because your own member list answers this question better than any targeting option does.

Does this work for bouldering walls specifically?

That is where both of our case studies come from. Bouldering has a particular advantage: the induction is short, the barrier to a first visit is low, and the activity films well, so the trial step converts better than it does for a conventional gym. The trade-off is that induction capacity is genuinely finite, so the goal is a full timetable rather than maximum volume.

What about January? Everyone advertises then.

Costs rise and so does intent, so the month is worth having - but it is the worst possible time to be learning. We want tracking proven and creative tested before the surge, so January is spent scaling something that already works rather than debugging an account in the most expensive auction of the year.

We're a single site, not a chain. Is this worth it?

Often more so, because a single site has one catchment to get right rather than several. The honest constraint is spend: below roughly $1,000 a month in ad spend the management fee eats too much of the budget to make sense, and we will say that on the call rather than take the work.

Can you use our own footage?

If it is good, yes, and gyms usually have more usable footage than they think. What rarely works is stock gym video - it is recognisably stock, and in a category where someone is deciding whether they would feel comfortable walking in, showing the actual room matters more than production value does.

Do you handle the landing page and booking flow too?

We do, and on gym accounts it is frequently where the money is lost. If the ad promises a taster session and the click lands on a homepage with the timetable three clicks away, no amount of targeting rescues it. We will tell you on the call when the booking flow is the constraint rather than the ads, even though that is the smaller invoice.

How do you report?

Cost per booked induction, and where your membership system lets us close the loop, cost per joined member and the trial-to-member rate. Impressions and clicks are in the report because you may want them, but they are not what the account is steered by.

What if Facebook isn't the right channel for us?

Then we will say so. For gyms it usually is, because the decision is prompted rather than searched for - people rarely type bouldering wall into Google until they have already decided to try one. But if your catchment is genuinely tiny, or your offer is search-led, we will tell you on the call, including when the right answer is to spend the money somewhere else.

What happens on the strategy call?

30 minutes. We look at your account, your catchment and your booking flow, then tell you what we would change and roughly what it would cost. If we are a fit, we scope it. If not, no hard feelings - no follow-up sequence, no pressure.

Fill the calendar, not the feed.

30 minutes. We'll look at your account, your catchment and your booking flow - then tell you whether the problem is the targeting, the creative or the conversion event, and roughly what a joined member should be costing you. Pick a time.

We'll email within one business day to confirm your call. No spam, no obligation.
