Magento development agency
Magento still works.
Keep it supported.
Magento runs some of the most capable stores on the web, and some of the hardest to maintain. Every 2.4 release has an end-of-support date, and version 2.4.6 passed its end of standard support in August 2026. We upgrade, patch and speed up Magento and Adobe Commerce stores, and help you decide honestly whether to stay.
How long is your version
supported?
The first question for any Magento store is which version it runs and when that version's support ends. Everything else, from speed work to new features, depends on the answer.
Before support runs out
Adobe publishes end dates for every 2.4 release. We plan upgrades well ahead of them, test extensions and customizations on a copy of the store, and release when it's safe.
Applied, not postponed
Security fixes applied and tested promptly, because an unpatched Magento store is a target and a checkout is where the damage is done.
Slow store, real causes
Caching, indexing, database and extension load measured before anything is changed, so the fixes go where the time is actually lost.
A costed decision
The cost of keeping the store upgraded and patched, set against moving to Shopify, BigCommerce or WooCommerce, with the migration risks spelled out.
Magento isn't the problem.
The backlog is.
Magento stores rarely fail suddenly. They fall behind: an upgrade postponed, a patch skipped, an extension nobody can update. Here's what we usually find, and how we deal with it.
What we usually find
- A 2.4 version past Adobe's end of standard support
- Security patches waiting for a quiet moment that never comes
- Extensions abandoned by their developers, blocking the next upgrade
- Core files edited directly, so every upgrade breaks something
- Caching and indexing misconfigured, making every page slow
- No copy of the store to test changes on
- A replatforming decision made on gut feel
What we do instead
- An upgrade plan dated against Adobe's lifecycle policy
- Patches applied on a schedule and tested before release
- Every extension checked for support and compatibility
- Customizations moved out of core into proper modules
- Caching, indexing and the database tuned and measured
- A staging copy of the store for every change
- Upgrade and migration costed side by side
The founders we work with.
Here's what founders say after working with us - unfiltered.
NCMborz rebuilt our site, then unleashed focused Meta and Google ads that filled coaching calendars fast. Branding, traffic, engagement, revenue - every dot now connects and we speak to ideal students. They made bold decisions feel easy with calm, data-backed reasoning.
They built our Shopify store from sketch to polish, and the ads keep bringing in people who actually appreciate the product. Fast, thoughtful, no guessing games. For a brand that sweats the small stuff, having a partner who gets that is a big deal.
Our old site was clunky and our ads were bleeding cash. Their team stepped in, rebuilt everything, and suddenly shoppers could buy without any fuss. They explain the numbers in plain language and always lay out the next move. First agency that's truly felt like part of our crew.
Six systems.
One store that stays supported.
This is the order we work in on every Magento store. Version and security come first; everything else waits until the store is on supported ground.
Pricing, scoped to you.
Priced on the store's state. A patch-and-tune job and a two-version upgrade with old extensions are different projects, so the fixed quote comes after we've seen the code.
- Fixed project price, agreed in writing before we start
- 50% to begin, balance on delivery
- Scoped to your version, extensions and customizations
- You own the store, the extensions and the code
ALL PRICES IN USD · MAINTENANCE PLANS FROM $450/MO
NCMborz vs. the alternatives
Upgrade, wait, or move: the trade-offs Magento owners weigh.
Here's exactly what you get.
An audit first, then work on a staging copy. Production only changes once tests pass.
Strategy call
Your version, your extensions, and what's hurting most. Code and server access requested afterwards.
Audit
Version support dates, patch status, extension compatibility and customizations, written up.
Work on staging
Patches, upgrade and performance work done and tested on the staging copy.
Go live
Released at a quiet time, checkout and orders tested, and the next upgrade dated.
We get asked these every week.
Is our Magento version still supported?
Check it against Adobe's lifecycle policy. As of its September 2026 update, 2.4.6 passed the end of standard support on 11 August 2026, with extended support to 31 August 2027. 2.4.7 is supported until 31 May 2027, 2.4.8 until 31 May 2028, and 2.4.9, released in May 2026, until 31 May 2029.
Should we upgrade Magento or replatform?
Upgrade if your customizations and integrations are worth keeping and the team can support the platform. Replatform if you're paying to maintain features you no longer need. We cost both, including redirects and data migration, before you decide.
What's the difference between Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce?
Magento Open Source is the open-source edition, published on GitHub under the OSL 3.0 licence. Adobe Commerce is Adobe's commercial edition, licensed from Adobe. We work on both.
How long does a Magento upgrade take?
It depends on how far behind the store is and how many extensions and customizations it carries. A store one release behind with clean code is a much smaller job than one with core edits and abandoned extensions. The audit tells you.
Why is our Magento store slow?
Usually caching, indexing, database load or extensions, rather than the platform itself. We measure each before changing anything.
Can you move us off Magento?
Yes, to Shopify, BigCommerce or WooCommerce. Shopify's own migration app doesn't import from Magento, so products, customers and orders move with other tooling, and every old URL is mapped and redirected first.
Have you worked on Magento stores before?
None of our published case studies is a Magento store, and we won't imply one. You can see how we'd approach yours on this page and question it on the call.
What does Magento work cost with you?
Upgrades and rescues are fixed-price projects from $1,200, usually within $1,200-$15,000 depending on the backlog. Ongoing patching can sit on a maintenance plan from $450 a month.
What happens on the strategy call?
Half an hour on your version, your extensions and your support dates, and a straight view on whether to upgrade or move.
Magento you can keep running.
30 minutes. We'll look at your Magento version, its support dates and your extensions, and tell you what it would take to stay supported, or to move. Pick a time.
