Law firm website design
Clients read your site
before they call a lawyer.
Someone facing a divorce, an arrest or an injury claim reads several firms' websites before calling one. They want to know whether you handle their kind of case, who would handle it, what happens next and roughly what it costs. We build law firm websites that answer those questions, take enquiries without creating problems for the firm, and follow your bar's or the SRA's rules.
What is the client
trying to find out?
An urgent criminal matter, a planned divorce and a contract dispute bring very different visitors. Some need a phone number now. Others read for a week before deciding. A law firm site has to serve the urgent caller and the careful reader from the same pages.
One page per kind of matter
Each practice area gets a page explaining who it's for, how the process works, what the first step is and who at the firm handles it, instead of a heading in a list.
Who would handle it
Profiles with admissions, experience and the matters each lawyer handles, written accurately, because clients hire a person as much as a firm.
Enquiries without the risk
Short intake forms with a clear warning, placed where it's read, that sending a message doesn't make someone a client and that confidential details should wait.
Bar and SRA requirements
Content that follows ABA Model Rule 7.1 and your state's version, or in England and Wales the SRA Code, the Transparency Rules, your SRA number and the digital badge.
Your website lists the credentials.
It's missing the next step.
Most firm websites we review list practice areas, show the partners and stop there. Prospective clients can't tell which page fits their problem or what happens when they call. Here's what's usually going wrong, and what we build instead.
What's costing you consultations
- One practice areas page with every service reduced to a heading
- Lawyer profiles that list admissions and nothing a client cares about
- Results pages that quote verdicts with no context about what others can expect
- Contact forms that invite people to describe their case in full
- No clear warning that a website enquiry doesn't make someone a client
- UK sites missing the SRA number, the digital badge or required price information
- A phone number that's hard to find on a phone
- No way to tell which signed cases started on the website
What we build instead
- A page for each practice area, explaining the process and the first step
- Profiles that say which matters each lawyer handles and how
- Results shown with context, so they don't promise the same outcome to others, or left out
- Intake forms that ask for contact details and the type of matter, not the whole story
- A clear, readable warning next to every form, approved by the firm
- SRA number, digital badge and price information where the Transparency Rules apply
- Tap-to-call and a consultation button on every page
- Calls and form enquiries tracked from launch, by practice area
The founders we work with.
Here's what founders say after working with us - unfiltered.
NCMborz rebuilt our site, then unleashed focused Meta and Google ads that filled coaching calendars fast. Branding, traffic, engagement, revenue - every dot now connects and we speak to ideal students. They made bold decisions feel easy with calm, data-backed reasoning.
Our old site was clunky and our ads were bleeding cash. Their team stepped in, rebuilt everything, and suddenly shoppers could buy without any fuss. They explain the numbers in plain language and always lay out the next move. First agency that's truly felt like part of our crew.
They built our Shopify store from sketch to polish, and the ads keep bringing in people who actually appreciate the product. Fast, thoughtful, no guessing games. For a brand that sweats the small stuff, having a partner who gets that is a big deal.
Six systems.
One site that brings consultations.
This is the order we build every law firm site in. The practice areas and the rules come first, because they decide what each page can say.
Pricing, scoped to you.
Priced on the firm. A sole practitioner with three practice areas and a firm with offices in several cities need very different page plans, so the quote follows the call and is fixed before work starts.
- Fixed project price, agreed in writing before we start
- 50% to begin, balance on delivery
- Scoped to your practice areas, lawyers and offices
- You own the site, the content and the accounts
ALL PRICES IN USD · MAINTENANCE PLANS FROM $450/MO

Is SEO worth it for a small business? What the data says, when it pays and when it doesn't, what it costs, and how to tell if it's working.

Have you built websites for law firms before?
Not as published work: none of our case studies is a law firm, and we won't show legal results we can't back up. Read the build process here, then put your own questions to us on the call.
Do advertising rules apply to a law firm website?
Yes. In the US, ABA Model Rule 7.1 bars false or misleading communications about a lawyer's services, and a website is one. Rule 7.2 asks that communications name at least one responsible lawyer or firm with contact details. Each state adopts its own version, and yours is the one that counts.
Can we show case results on our website?
With care. The comments to Rule 7.1 warn that true past results can mislead if they suggest others will get the same outcome, and some states add their own disclaimer requirements. We show results only with the context your state's rules call for, and your firm signs off every word.
What should a law firm contact form say?
It should warn, clearly and next to the form, that sending a message doesn't create a lawyer-client relationship and that confidential details should wait. ABA Formal Opinion 10-457 says website enquiries may come from prospective clients, and that warnings only work if they're reasonably understandable, properly placed and not misleading.
We're a firm in England and Wales. What changes?
The SRA's Transparency Rules require price and service information on the website for services such as residential conveyancing, uncontested probate, some immigration applications and unfair dismissal claims, and every SRA-regulated firm's site must show its SRA number and digital badge. The SRA Code also requires accurate publicity.
Should every lawyer have a profile page?
Yes, for anyone clients might deal with. A good profile says which matters the lawyer handles, their admissions or qualifications, and how they work with clients. Keep specialist claims within your bar's rules: under Rule 7.2, a certified specialist claim has to name the certifying organization.
How much does a law firm website cost?
From $1,200, with most of our website projects between $1,200 and $15,000, agreed as a fixed fee. The number of practice areas, lawyers and offices, and any intake integrations, decide where a firm sits in that range.
Will a redesign hurt our rankings?
Not if it's planned. We record which pages rank and bring in enquiries, keep their URLs where we can, and redirect the rest page by page, as Google's site-move guidance recommends.
Do you also do SEO for law firms?
Yes. We do SEO for law firms, and the practice area pages a website needs are the pages search depends on. Or keep it to the website: that works too.
What happens on the strategy call?
Half an hour on screen. We search for a practice area you want more of, follow a prospective client through your site, and say what we'd build and the likely price. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so.
Turn readers into consultations.
30 minutes. We'll look at your site the way a prospective client would, from search to enquiry, and tell you what we'd change first and roughly what it would cost. Pick a time.
