You are the brand.
Search should know it.
Coaching SEO has a trap built into it: the content that ranks most easily attracts people who want to do what you do, not hire you. Traffic goes up, enquiries don't. We separate hiring intent from learning intent, build the authority that makes you the obvious name, and report on enquiries rather than sessions.
Who is that article
actually for?
Every piece of coaching content serves one of two people: someone with the problem you solve, or someone who wants your career. They search almost the same words and are worth wildly different amounts. Deciding which you are writing for, deliberately, is most of the strategy.
The searches that mean clients
Service, niche and outcome pages built for someone looking to engage a coach rather than to learn coaching. Low volume, high value, and usually the pages a coaching site is missing entirely while the blog grows steadily.
Where your buyer actually starts
Your client rarely searches "executive coach". They search the symptom - the team that keeps missing deadlines, the founder who cannot delegate. Content that names the symptom is how you reach them before they know coaching is the answer.
Entity, not just keywords
Search engines and AI assistants alike need to understand who you are, what you are known for and who vouches for you. Consistent entity data, author markup, and the podcast, press and speaking footprint that establishes it beyond your own website.
Content that leads somewhere
Rankings do nothing on their own for a coaching business. Every piece has a next step - a lead magnet, an application, a call - so organic traffic enters the same funnel your paid traffic does rather than reading and leaving.
Your rankings aren't broken.
Your topics is.
Every coach we talk to says a version of the same thing: "the blog gets traffic and none of it turns into clients." That is usually a topic-selection problem, not a quality problem. Here's what's happening - and what a properly built coaching programme does instead.
What's wasting the effort
- Articles that rank for "how to become a coach", attracting future competitors
- Certification and training queries pursued because the search volume looked attractive
- No service or niche pages at all, so hiring intent has nowhere to land
- Content written about coaching rather than about the problem the client actually has
- The coach's own name and expertise invisible to search as a recognised entity
- Articles ending with no next step, so a good reader simply leaves
- Guest appearances and podcasts never linked or claimed, so the authority never compounds
- Reported on sessions, which rewards exactly the content least likely to produce a client
What we build instead
- Hiring-intent service and niche pages built first, before any blog expansion
- Topics chosen on client value rather than on search volume
- Problem-aware content that names the symptom your buyer is actually searching
- Entity and author markup so search understands who you are and what you're known for
- Podcast, press and speaking footprint claimed and linked so authority accumulates
- A next step on every page - lead magnet, application or call
- Learning-intent traffic deliberately deprioritised rather than accidentally courted
- Reporting that follows organic through to enquiries and enrolments
The founders we work with.
Here's what founders say after working with us - unfiltered.
NCMborz rebuilt our site, then unleashed focused Meta and Google ads that filled coaching calendars fast. Branding, traffic, engagement, revenue - every dot now connects and we speak to ideal students. They made bold decisions feel easy with calm, data-backed reasoning.
Our old site was clunky and our ads were bleeding cash. Their team stepped in, rebuilt everything, and suddenly shoppers could buy without any fuss. They explain the numbers in plain language and always lay out the next move. First agency that's truly felt like part of our crew.
They built our Shopify store from sketch to polish, and the ads keep bringing in people who actually appreciate the product. Fast, thoughtful, no guessing games. For a brand that sweats the small stuff, having a partner who gets that is a big deal.
Six systems.
One compounding funnel.
This is the exact build order for every coaching SEO engagement we take on - whether you sell a course or a five-figure engagement. Skip any one of these and the rest stops working.

NCMborz vs. the alternatives
You've got options. Here's how we stack up against what most coaches try first.
Here's exactly what you get.
No mystery, no "we'll get back to you." Every stage below ends with something delivered to your inbox - though SEO compounds over quarters, and we would rather say that now than in month three.
Strategy call & access
A 30-minute call to map your niche, your offer, your best clients and what they were struggling with before they found you. Analytics and Search Console access requested within 24 hours.
Intent & content audit
We audit what you have published, work out how much of your existing traffic is learning intent rather than hiring intent, and map the pages you are missing. This is frequently an uncomfortable first conversation.
Build hiring-intent pages
Service, niche and outcome pages written and shipped, entity and author markup deployed, next steps and funnel wiring added to existing content that already ranks.
Compound
Problem-aware content published to plan, authority footprint claimed and linked, monthly reporting that follows organic through to enquiries rather than stopping at traffic.
We get asked these every week.
Our blog gets traffic but no clients. Why?
Usually because the topics attract the wrong reader. In coaching, the highest-volume searches are dominated by people who want to become a coach rather than hire one, and that content ranks easily precisely because it is what everyone writes. Traffic rises and enquiries do not. The fix is choosing topics on client value rather than search volume, and building the hiring-intent pages that are almost always missing.
What should we write about instead?
The symptom, not the solution. Your client rarely searches "executive coach" - they search the thing keeping them awake: the co-founder conflict, the team that keeps missing deadlines, the inability to delegate. Content that names the problem in their language reaches them before they have concluded coaching is the answer, and it attracts almost none of the aspiring-practitioner audience.
Does personal branding matter for SEO?
In this category more than any other, because you are the product. Search engines and AI assistants both work with entities - a recognised person with a known area of expertise and a footprint that corroborates it. Consistent author markup, a claimed presence across the podcasts and press you have already appeared on, and clarity about what you are known for all feed that. It is also why a coaching site benefits from an unusually strong About page.
How long does it take?
Hiring-intent service and niche pages can rank within eight to twelve weeks because competition for them is thinner than for the broad head terms. Authority and problem-aware content take six months or more. If you need enquiries this quarter, that is a paid search conversation and we will say so rather than sell you a content programme.
Should we blog or focus on service pages?
Service and niche pages first, always. A blog is how you reach people before they are looking, which is valuable once you have somewhere for ready-to-hire visitors to land. Doing it in the other order is how coaches end up with an impressive traffic chart and an empty calendar.
Do you write the content?
We write it, and for coaching we interview you first. Your methodology, your language and the specific stories you use are the differentiator - generic coaching content is worse than none, because it signals to exactly the buyer you want that you sound like everyone else. We would rather spend an hour recording you than write convincingly about nothing.
What about AI search - will people still find us?
It matters a great deal here, because someone asking an assistant to suggest a coach in your niche is a genuinely high-intent moment. What earns a mention is roughly what earned a good ranking: a clear entity, a defined specialism and corroborating presence elsewhere. What changes is that being named without a click still has value, which is another reason session counts are a poor measure in this category.
We also have a course. Does that change the SEO?
It adds a second intent to serve and they should not be blurred. Course buyers search for the skill or outcome they want to acquire; coaching clients search for the problem they want solved. Both are legitimate, they need different pages, and combining them into one "work with me" page serves neither well.
Can you help with our existing content?
It is often the fastest win. Most coaching sites have posts sitting on page two that have never been revisited, and articles that rank but end without a next step. Updating those and adding conversion paths usually produces results before anything new is published - and there is nearly always something worth removing entirely.
How does this work with our paid ads?
They inform each other. Paid search tells you within weeks which queries actually produce enquiries, which is the best possible input to a content plan that would otherwise take months to learn the same lesson. And where you begin ranking for terms you currently buy, that becomes a budget decision you make deliberately.
How much does it cost?
Most engagements run $1,000-$5,000 a month, scoped to your niche, competition and existing content. A specific niche with little competition is very different work from general business coaching, which is one of the most contested categories online. Entry plans start at $550.
What if we're not the right fit?
We will tell you on the call. We turn coaching SEO down fairly often - usually because the niche has almost no hiring-intent search volume, or because the timeline expected is shorter than SEO can deliver. Either way you will leave the call knowing exactly what to fix next.
What happens on the strategy call?
30 minutes. We look at your site, your niche and who your content is actually reaching, find the biggest gap, and tell you exactly what we would do in your first 90 days. If we are a fit, we talk pricing. If not, no hard feelings - no follow-up sequence, no pressure.
