Ecommerce migration services
Change platform.
Keep your rankings.
Moving a store to a new platform is mostly a data job and a redirect job. Products, customers and orders have to arrive intact, and every URL that ranks or earns has to point somewhere sensible on day one. Google's own guidance on site moves says to map every old URL, use permanent redirects and keep them for at least a year. That's where we start.
What has to arrive
intact?
Every migration moves three things: the data, the URLs and the tracking. Lose any one and the new store starts behind the old one. The plan starts by listing all three.
Every page that earns
Products, categories, content pages and anything with links or traffic mapped to its new address, one by one, before a single product moves.
Products, customers, orders
Catalog, variants, images, customers and order history moved with the right tools for your platforms, and checked against the source.
Practise, then move
A full trial run on the new store, so the real move is a repeat of something that already worked.
Sales still reported
Analytics, ad pixels and conversion tracking set up on the new platform and tested with real orders before switch-over.
The move went fine.
Then traffic dropped.
Most migration stories that end badly are redirect stories, not product stories. Here's what usually goes wrong, and how we run a move instead.
What usually goes wrong
- Old URLs sending visitors to a 404, or every page redirected to the homepage
- Redirects added after launch, once traffic has already dropped
- Variants, images or reviews missing after the import
- Customer accounts and order history left behind
- Ad pixels and analytics not set up on the new store
- Launch on a busy day with no rehearsal
How we run it
- Every URL that matters mapped to its closest new page before the move
- Redirects loaded and tested on launch day, and kept for at least a year
- Imports checked against the old store, product by product where it counts
- Customers and order history moved where the platforms allow
- Tracking rebuilt and tested with real orders
- A rehearsal first, then launch at a quiet time
The founders we work with.
Here's what founders say after working with us - unfiltered.
They built our Shopify store from sketch to polish, and the ads keep bringing in people who actually appreciate the product. Fast, thoughtful, no guessing games. For a brand that sweats the small stuff, having a partner who gets that is a big deal.
NCMborz rebuilt our site, then unleashed focused Meta and Google ads that filled coaching calendars fast. Branding, traffic, engagement, revenue - every dot now connects and we speak to ideal students. They made bold decisions feel easy with calm, data-backed reasoning.
Our old site was clunky and our ads were bleeding cash. Their team stepped in, rebuilt everything, and suddenly shoppers could buy without any fuss. They explain the numbers in plain language and always lay out the next move. First agency that's truly felt like part of our crew.
Six systems.
One move, nothing lost.
This is the order we run every store migration in. URLs come first, because they're the part that can't be fixed later without cost.
Pricing, scoped to you.
Priced on what's moving. A few hundred products and a clean URL structure is a smaller job than a large catalog with years of order history and content pages, so the fixed quote follows the inventory.
- Fixed project price, agreed in writing before we start
- 50% to begin, balance on delivery
- Scoped to your catalog, data and URL count
- You own the new store and all the data

NCMborz vs. the alternatives
An import app, an hourly developer, or a planned migration: what each covers.
Here's exactly what you get.
The old store keeps taking orders until switch-over day, and you sign off the URL map before anything moves.
Strategy call
Which platforms, how much data, and what can't break. Access to the old store requested afterwards.
Inventory & URL map
Everything on the old store listed, and every URL that matters mapped.
Build & rehearse
New store built, trial migration run and checked.
Switch-over
Final move at a quiet time, redirects live, and the weeks after watched.
We get asked these every week.
Will we lose our Google rankings when we migrate?
Expect some movement during the switch: Google's guidance on site moves says rankings may fluctuate temporarily. Lasting losses usually come from missing redirects. Map every old URL to its closest new page, use permanent redirects, and keep them for at least a year.
What can be migrated?
Products, variants, images, customers and usually order history, depending on the two platforms and the tools available. We list exactly what will and won't move before you commit.
Can Shopify's own migration app do it?
For some sources. Shopify's free Store Migration app imports products and customers from platforms including WooCommerce, Wix, Square, Etsy, Amazon and eBay. It doesn't list BigCommerce or Magento, and it doesn't plan your redirects. Shopify's own migration checklist ends with redirects for that reason.
How many redirects can a Shopify store hold?
Shopify allows up to 100,000 URL redirects, or 20 million on Plus. Redirects only apply to URLs that no longer exist on the store, and they can be imported in bulk from a spreadsheet.
How long does a store migration take?
A clean catalog with a simple URL structure moves in a few weeks. Large catalogs, years of order history and lots of content take longer. We give you a date after the inventory, not before.
Do we have to stop selling during the move?
No. The old store keeps taking orders until switch-over. Orders and customers added in the meantime are picked up in a final sync just before the domain moves, so nothing placed during the project goes missing.
What happens to our apps and integrations?
Each one is listed in the inventory with its equivalent on the new platform, whether that's a built-in feature, a different app, or a gap we tell you about before the move rather than after it. Reviews, subscriptions and loyalty points get their own plan, because they live in third-party systems.
Which platforms do you migrate between?
We move stores to Shopify, WooCommerce or BigCommerce, from any of those, Magento, Wix, Squarespace or a custom build.
What does a migration cost with you?
A fixed price, quoted once the inventory is done. Migrations with us start at $1,200, and catalog size and data volume decide where in the $1,200-$15,000 range a move lands.
What happens on the strategy call?
Thirty minutes. We look at the store you're leaving, ask where you're going, and outline what moves, what could break and the likely price.
Move the store, keep the rankings.
30 minutes. Tell us where you're moving from and to, and we'll outline what moves, what could break and what it would cost. Pick a time.
