Facebook ads for dentists & dental practices They weren't searching.
Until they saw it.

Most people who end up with aligners, whitening or implants think about it for months before they ever search. Facebook and Instagram reach them during those months. It's also where dental budgets leak fastest: leads that cost more than in any other industry LocalIQ measures, health rules that quietly switch off conversion tracking, and consultations nobody chases. We build Facebook ads for dental practices around booked consultations and treatment started.

Which treatment pays
for the ads?

A routine check-up patient and an implant or aligner case are worth very different amounts to a practice. Ads that promote the practice to everyone in town buy attention from both, then hand every lead to a front desk that treats them the same. Choose the elective treatments you want to grow, give each one its own campaign and offer, and judge each on cases started.

Treatment Campaigns

One treatment per campaign

Aligners, implants, whitening and new patient offers each get their own campaign, audience and form. Each is judged on its own cost per consultation, so a cheap whitening lead never hides an implant campaign that isn't paying.

Health Data Rules

Tracking Meta still accepts

Meta can file a dental website under health and wellness and restrict the mid and lower funnel events your campaigns learn from. We check the data source category in Events Manager first, keep anything that identifies a patient out of what Meta receives, and know what Meta can see before a pound or dollar is spent.

Consultation Follow-Up

Called while they're comparing

An aligner or implant lead is someone weighing up practices. Every lead reaches your front desk or treatment coordinator the moment it lands, gets a first reply in minutes, and has a follow-up plan if they don't book on the first call.

Practice-Made Creative

Your dentists, your rooms

Short videos of your dentists explaining a treatment, the practice itself, and patient stories where consent and your regulator allow them. Meta wants cosmetic treatment ads aimed at adults and free of anything that tells people their appearance is a problem, so the creative sells the result without shaming anyone.

The leads aren't the problem.
What happens next is.

Practices tell us Facebook brings enquiries that never turn into appointments. Usually the cause is a form anyone can fill in, tracking Meta has restricted without anyone noticing, or follow-up that stops after one missed call. Here's what we usually find in a dental account, and what a properly built one does instead.

What's draining your budget

  • One "new patients welcome" campaign for every treatment
  • Instant forms that ask for a name and a phone number and nothing else
  • Booking events restricted under Meta's health data rules, and nobody noticed
  • Patient names or treatment details passed to Meta in URLs and events
  • Leads emailed to a shared inbox the front desk checks between patients
  • Stock photos of perfect teeth that could belong to any practice
  • UK ads that never say whether the practice is NHS, mixed or private
  • Reported on cost per lead, never on consultations or treatment started

What we install instead

  • Separate campaigns for aligners, implants, whitening and new patients
  • Forms that ask which treatment, how soon, and how they'd like to be contacted
  • The data source category checked in Events Manager before launch
  • Nothing that identifies a patient or a condition sent to Meta
  • Leads routed to a named person who calls back within minutes
  • Video of your own dentists, rooms and team
  • Ads checked against GDC guidance in the UK and state board rules in the US
  • Reported on cost per consultation and treatment started

Our old site was clunky and our ads were bleeding cash. Their team stepped in, rebuilt everything, and suddenly shoppers could buy without any fuss. They explain the numbers in plain language and always lay out the next move. First agency that's truly felt like part of our crew.

They built our Shopify store from sketch to polish, and the ads keep bringing in people who actually appreciate the product. Fast, thoughtful, no guessing games. For a brand that sweats the small stuff, having a partner who gets that is a big deal.

Six systems.
One patient-safe build.

This is the order we build every dental account in, from a single-surgery practice to a small group. Tracking and follow-up come before spend, because a practice can't judge leads it can't see.

Which treatments you want more of, what a case is worth to you, and how many consultations your diary can take each week. That decides where the budget goes and how fast it can grow.

Health Data Check
Events Manager, the Pixel and any booking widget checked for what Meta can and can't receive. If Meta has restricted the site, we find out before launch, not from a report that suddenly shows zero bookings.

We get asked these every week.

Have you run Facebook ads for dental practices before?

We have no published dental case study, so we won't show you dental results we can't back up. Our published work is local booking businesses, including two climbing centres written up with the numbers, plus our own lead follow-up app. The build on this page is that system applied to consultations, inside the health rules dental ads have to follow.

Do Facebook ads work for dentists?

For treatments people think about before they search, often yes: aligners, whitening, veneers and implants. For emergencies and routine check-ups people usually search, so Google tends to come first there. Many practices run both, with Facebook and Instagram for elective treatments and Google Ads for urgent, high-intent searches.

What does a Facebook lead cost for a dental practice?

LocalIQ's 2026 benchmarks put the average Facebook lead for dentists and dental services at $61.56, the highest of any industry they measured, against $27.39 across all industries, at about $5.70 a click. That's why we judge dental accounts on consultations booked and treatment started, not on the price of a form fill.

Why did our booking conversions disappear from Ads Manager?

Check the data source category in Events Manager. Meta can file a website under health and wellness, which covers provider and patient relationships, and then restrict URL details, specific mid and lower funnel events, or all events. Custom events are blocked until you review them. Meta emails you when it does this, but the email is easy to miss.

Can we use before-and-after photos in dental ads?

Meta allows before-and-after images for cosmetic procedures in ads aimed at people 18 and over, as long as the ad doesn't suggest something is wrong with how someone looks. Your regulator's rules apply too: the GDC's advertising guidance in the UK, your state dental board in the US. We check both before an ad goes live.

What do UK dental ads have to include?

The GDC's guidance on advertising says publicity must make clear whether a practice is NHS, mixed or wholly private, and only dentists on a GDC specialist list can be described as specialists. We build those into every UK ad and landing page from the start.

Should we use instant forms or a treatment page?

Instant forms bring more leads at a lower cost; a treatment page with prices and finance usually brings fewer, better ones. For implants we often start with a form that asks qualifying questions, then test a page against it and compare cost per consultation, not cost per lead.

How much ad budget does a practice need?

Enough to produce consultations you can learn from every month. At LocalIQ's average dental cost per lead, $500 a month in ad spend buys about eight leads. If your budget is too small for our fee to make sense, we'll say so on the call.

How do you report?

Cost per lead, cost per booked consultation and, where you share it from your practice system, treatment started by campaign. Reach and clicks are there if you want them, but the account is steered by consultations.

What happens on the strategy call?

30 minutes. We look at your account, your tracking and your lead follow-up, then tell you what we would change and roughly what it would cost. If we're a fit, we scope it. If not, there's no follow-up sequence and no pressure.

Fill the chair, not the inbox.

30 minutes. We'll look at your account, what Meta can see from your website, and what happens to a lead after it arrives, then tell you whether the problem is the targeting, the tracking or the follow-up, and roughly what a consultation should cost you. Pick a time.

We'll email within one business day to confirm your call. No spam, no obligation.
